Invitation to the sports community: Participate in the international survey on manipulation of sports competitions

The Finnish Center for Integrity in Sports FINCIS agrees on co-operation with UEFA

The Finnish Center for Integrity in Sports (FINCIS) has signed a co-operation agreement with the Union of European Football Associations UEFA. The co-operation agreement covers anti-doping activities and helps to globally harmonise doping control.

In the co-operation agreement, FINCIS and UEFA commit to distribute information and know-how between each other. The agreement states that the organisations will plan and realise doping testing together and distribute information related to doping control.

“FINCIS has and will continue to actively co-operate with international sports federations in doping control. International co-operation helps to reach athletes for doping controls at the best possible time wherever they are. We are very happy about the agreement with UEFA. It is a continuation of agreements signed with many international sports federations, and the agreements benefit all parties in doping control,” says Katja Huotari, Doping Control Manager at FINCIS.

UEFA took the initiative in proposing a co-operation agreement to FINCIS.

“This goes to show that FINCIS’s high-quality, long-term operations and international co-operation are paying off,” says Harri Syväsalmi, FINCIS’s Secretary General.
