FINCIS

The purpose of the Finnish Center for Integrity in Sports FINCIS is to promote responsible sports in co-operation with its partners. As an integral part of this mission, FINCIS has been assigned specific tasks in the areas of anti-doping activities, combatting manipulation of sports competitions and promoting spectator safety and comfort. FINCIS is responsible for investigating serious ethical violations and presenting disciplinary provisions in centralised disciplinary procedures.

Activities

The purpose of the activities is to defend clean sports, safety and fair play, improve the reputation of sports, protect sports stakeholders, strengthen ethics in sport and ensure the values of justice and honesty in sports.

Background

FINCIS was established in 2016, and its predecessor was the Finnish Anti-Doping Agency FINADA. In Finland, the first anti-doping organisation was established in 1984.
