The Finnish national handball team for 19-year-old women meets their Turkish and Hungarian contenders at the European championships qualification games at the Pirkkola Ball Hall in Helsinki on 17–19 April. The winner of the qualifications gets to participate in the handball European championships in Spain. The Clean Win programme encourages handball players and the audience to fair play.
The Finnish national team is expected to have an excellent opportunity to win its games in Pirkkola. Many team members already have experience of more than 30 international games at the national team level.
The Clean Win programme information stand will be present at the Pirkkola Ball Hall on Friday, 17 April during the Turkey–Finland game from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday, 18 April during the Hungary–Turkey game from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Come and get a Finnish flag painted on your cheek and vote for the player and team that is the best promoter of clean sport and fair play at the tournament! In addition, the handball players can take part in World Anti-Doping Agency WADA’s quiz at the information stand and win a brilliant golden drinking bottle.
The good spirit of sport can also be spread in social media through the free Instagram.com image sharing service where FINADA actively campaigns for clean sport. Take a photo of a situation that represents fair play at the event and share it on Instagram with the hashtag #puhtaastiparas.
The Clean Win programme was launched in May 2008. The programme honours clean athletes and the values of fair play. It invites Finnish sports fans, sporting organisations, the friends and relatives of athletes and the athletes themselves to get involved in fair play.
